Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Corinth, Mississippi.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Ortho/Surgical) | Corinth, MS

Location: Corinth, MS
Contract Duration: 12 Weeks
Start Date: 08/03/2026
Shift: Nights | Rotating 3x12 & 4x12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

 Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients.
  • Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in patient condition.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
  • Manage post-operative orthopedic and surgical patients, including pain management, wound care, and mobility assistance.
  • Monitor patients for complications and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, pharmacists, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, medications, post-discharge care, and recovery plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention practices, patient safety standards, and hospital policies.
  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and assist during rapid response situations when needed.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professional nursing standards.
Requirements
  • Active Mississippi RN License or Compact RN License.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience (2 years preferred).
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Current ACLS certification required.
  • Experience caring for medical, surgical, and orthopedic patient populations.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work rotating 36–48 hour night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment.
