Job Title: Sheet Metal Assembler
Location: On-site - Linwood, PA / 1st Shift
Pay: $22 - $24/hour (DOE)
Position Summary:
The Sheet Metal Assembler is responsible for assembling, fabricating, and inspecting sheet metal components and products according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with hand tools and fabrication equipment in a manufacturing or production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble sheet metal components using blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings
Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as drills, riveters, presses, and shears
Perform fitting, aligning, and fastening of parts to ensure proper assembly
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to ensure precision.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and efficiency.
Inspect components and finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
- Support custom and prototype sheet metal projects with engineering and R&D teams.
- Maintain equipment and manage inventory of materials and tools to prevent downtime.
Qualifications:
1 or more years of experience in sheet metal assembly, manufacturing, or a related field preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Basic math and measurement skills
- Knowledge of sheet metal materials and fabrication methods.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, ERP systems).
