Job Summary
Work in a challenging but rewarding environment with like-minded, mission-oriented team members. The Telehealth Neurologist provides specialized neurological care through remote consultation services for incarcerated adult patients within the Harris County Jail. This part-time role involves conducting virtual evaluations and managing a range of neurological conditions such as seizures, headaches, neuropathies, and movement disorders using secure video platforms. The Neurologist collaborates closely with on-site nursing staff and primary care providers to deliver timely, evidence-based recommendations that support continuity of care in a correctional environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees/School Education:
- Doctor of Medicine: M.D. or D.O.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Texas Medical Board: Must hold a valid Texas license to practice medicine and be registered as a physician in the State of Texas. Must meet all credential criteria.
- Board-certified Adult Neurologist: Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Fellowship
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA): Must remain active throughout your employment.
