Job description

$18.25 - $32.74 / hour 

Salary based on experience

This position exists to troubleshoot and initiate repairs and preventive maintenance on electronic, electromechanical, mechanical and pneumatic games, equipment and systems.  Troubleshoot and identify component elements which require service outside of the scope of responsibility or by contractual agreement.  Design, fabricate, and install and maintain themed midway games.


  • Ability to work effectively and achieve department goals under time restraints and quality pressures.
  • Ability to use a variety of power tools including but not limited to, table saw, drill press, grinders, radial arm saw, nail gun, and diagnostic equipment.  Also, the ability to use a variety of small hand tools.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to use a variety of heavy equipment including, but not limited to, pallet jacks, electric carts, aerial lifts, and forklift.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment with loud machinery.
  • Ability to work around mechanical equipment or near moving mechanical , electronic, or electric parts.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations including but not limited to, algebraic equations, measuring, and building computations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of arcade equipment including video and redemption games, change machines, photo booths and novelty games, midway games equipment including group race games, electronic shooting gallery, lockers, closed circuit surveillance system, public address systems, card readers, game card kiosks, metering systems, air compressors, juke box, and lazer tag equipment, and virtual reality equipment.
  • Use electronic test equipment, scientific calculator to quickly diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Ability to perform complicated mathematical calculations including circuit analysis utilizing Ohm's law, electrical load calculations, time constraints and power amplification equations.
  • Ability to read and draft mechanical drawings and electronic schematics.
  • Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meets Six Flags' attendance requirements as outlined in Six Flags' attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Six Flags' Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee
  • Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.

Experience   

6 10 Years Related Experience with analog and digital electronics and/or in anArcade and Midway games  environment.

At Least 18 Years of Age

    Qualifications:

  • Experience in electronic design and repair, rough and finish carpentry, cabinet making, and laminate work.
  • Experience in design, installation and repair of water pump systems, and basic plumbing.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
