Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 1 HVAC or Power Aggreko Event Services based in any US City nearby an Aggreko Service Center.

You'll be part of an elite technician team that will work on a wide range of projects from large events, to assisting Utilities customers or being part of a turnaround team in a refinery.

What you'll do as a Technician 1 HVAC or Power Event Services

  • Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment.
  • Install and commission for Events Services and other complex projects
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Events Services and in the service centers
  • Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
  • Ensure the completion of minor repairs and major overhauls on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.
  • Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.
  • Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures, help design proactive notification to avoid failures and compliance.

You are:

  • Must be located near an Aggreko facility, with up to 75% travel
  • Able to travel extensively, up to 75%, and be away for extended periods of time
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience with event and entertainment
  • Experience servicing, testing and installing commercial HVAC or industrial diesel generators

  • Availability to work the assignedschedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be onstandbyfor work outside of regularly scheduledshifts
  • Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
  • Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level
  • Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders
  • Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.) push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat
