We help students catch up, catch on and get ahead. "Getting it" in school builds students' confidence as well as their skills. And no one helps students get it right like a College Tutor.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SUPERSTAR TUTOR
As a College Tutor, your creative, engaging, and amiable personality is contagious. So much so that it can turn a frown upside-down, leading to happy homework, happy home! Your strong ability to engage with students will foster strong, honest connections with their parents. Allowing them to stress less and communicate their students' needs to you effectively.
As a subject-matter expert, you will help students understand concepts, build study skills and improve test scores.
WORK SCHEDULE
Confidence, dedication, and positivity might work around the clock, but we only need you to be available to work with students between the hours of 2:30-7:30 pm two to three days a week, in person at one of our Ann Arbor, Canton or Northville offices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful Math and Science Tutors exemplify the following qualifications and experiences:
  • Desire to be a Role Model for middle, high school and college-bound students
  • Organized learner with subject-specific expertise and demonstrated achievement
  • Ability to guide students through their homework and prepare for exam
  • Highly motivated and proven ability to relay knowledge in an effective and individualized/customized manner
  • Science and math tutors must be comfortable explaining one or more of the following subjects: biology, chemistry, pre-calculus (math analysis), calculus, physics, statistics, trigonometry or earth sciences.
  • Ability to tutor one-one-one in-person, virtual and remote learning settings
  • Pass a background check
