ABOUT OUR SCHOOLS AND POSITION:
The California Virtual Academies (a network of 9 public charter schools) deliver online/virtual home based instruction to TK-12 students in California. While our schools do offer some scheduling flexibility, students are still required to complete approximately 4-6 hours of coursework daily & log attendance (entered by their parent/learning coach and verified by the teacher).
The mission of California Virtual Academy is to provide an exemplary individualized and engaging educational experience for students by incorporating school and community/family partnerships coupled with a rigorous curriculum along with a data-driven and student-centered instructional model. Student success will be measured by valid and reliable assessment data, parent and student satisfaction, and continued institutional growth within the academic community.
This position supports high school students in achieving on-time graduation and College and Career Readiness by monitoring student data, identifying students at risk, and tracking progress toward graduation and post-secondary goals. The role collaborates closely with counselors, teachers, administrators, students, and families to develop and implement targeted strategies, maintain accurate student records, and provide proactive support to help students stay on track. The position also monitors post-graduation outcomes and assists with state testing, professional development, and other student support initiatives as needed.
