Project Manager

Project Manager - Construction (K-12, Commercial, Medical)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects across K-12 education, commercial, and medical sectors. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, construction expertise, and the ability to coordinate owners, architects, contractors, and subcontractors through all phases of design and construction.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Manage day-to-day operations on projects, including coordination of subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules (baseline and updates) and monitor progress to ensure milestones are met.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost tracking, change orders, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee contract administration, procurement, and subcontractor agreements; ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Communicate regularly with owners, design teams, and stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulatory requirements, permit processes, and sector-specific standards for K-12 and medical facilities.
  • Implement and enforce site safety programs and quality control procedures; coordinate inspections and corrective actions.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; develop contingency plans as necessary.
  • Prepare and submit project documentation and closeout deliverables, including as-built drawings, warranties, and O&M manuals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in construction, with demonstrated experience on K-12 education, commercial, and medical projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience with project scheduling and cost management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Sage).
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, life-safety systems, and healthcare construction standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with contract administration, change order management, and procurement processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk-management abilities; detail-oriented with a focus on quality control.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites; background checks and drug screening may be required.
