Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a night shift position requiring an active AL or compact RN license and Level III Trauma Center experience.

Details
  • ergency Department position within a 54-bed hospital ED at a state-designated Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
  • Treats all age groups with more than 60,000 patients treated annually
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage required as assigned
  • Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the health system
  • Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Uses Meditech EMR
Requirements
  • Active RN license (State of Alabama or Compact) required, temporary or pending licenses not accepted
  • Associate degree in nursing required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required, including at least 1 year recent experience in the ED specialty
  • Experience in a large hospital setting required
  • Trauma experience required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or Red Cross), NIHSS, and TNCC
  • NURSYS license verification required
  • No history of licensure actions (past or current) permitted
