Major duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Collaborates with the St. Cloud VA Health Informatics department in supporting the organization's mission and vision.
  2. Resolves issues and employs a range of informatics functions to include business process and workflow optimization, training and education, content management, and addresses barriers to workflow and system adoption.
  3. Demonstrates proficient clinical practice skills, problem solving skills, and decision making-skills.
  4. Coordinate and schedule training sessions for clinical staff across service lines.
  5. Update and maintain training rosters, attendance logs, and competency records.
  6. Develop and revise training materials, tip sheets, and quick reference guides.
  7. Conduct virtual or in-person training sessions on Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) workflows.
  8. Monitor and document training completion rates and escalate gaps to leadership.
  9. Troubleshoot user-reported issues and escalate to the command center or help desk as needed.
  10. Track and report metrics related to training effectiveness and user readiness.
  11. Collaborate with national training teams and local subject matter experts to ensure curriculum alignment.
  12. Attend Electronic Health Record Management (EHRM) governance meetings and provide input on clinical informatics impacts.
  13. Support onboarding of new staff with tailored EHR training plans.
  14. Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and technical teams to ensure safe, efficient workflows.

Preferred Experience:

  • Formal training in informatics, experience with project management, quality improvement or at least one year of Informatics employment experience preferred.
  • Two years of RN experience.
  • BSN Preferred.
