As a Manufacturing-Process EngineerIntern, you will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working closely with site engineering, operations, and production teams to improvethe efficiency, reliability, and overall performance of manufacturing processes.A significant portionof the internship will be spent on the production floor, building an understanding of how products are manufactured,observingday-to-day operations, attending production and control meetings, andidentifyingopportunities to improve how our lines and equipmentoperate.
Throughout the internship, you may support projects focused onprocess optimization, loss analysis,waste reduction, equipment performance, and production efficiency. This could include analyzing production data and line performance,identifyingsources of downtime or material loss, investigating root causes, and partnering with site teams to develop and implement solutions. Interns may alsohave the opportunity tolead orparticipatein Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives, using methodologies and principles such as Lean Six Sigma, World Class Manufacturing (WCM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Projects may also include updating process maps for specific areas of the plant, evaluating production or packaging processes,optimizingkey pieces of equipment, and supporting improvements to standard operating procedures. Interns may work directly with operators and technical teams to understand current processes and help update process documentation, training materials, work instructions, or operating manuals to ensure improvements can be effectively implemented and sustained.
This internship is designed to provide exposure to the full manufacturing environment;from understanding what happens directly on the production line to using data and continuousimprovement tools to solve real operational challenges. Interns will collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and other site teams while developing practical experience in process engineering, problem solving, manufacturing excellence, and continuous improvement.

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing abachelor's degreein: Mechanical Engineering(preferred), Industrial Engineering(preferred),Electrical Engineering,Supply Chain Management,Operationsand related fields.

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with a preferred expected graduation date between December 2027and May 2029.

  • Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Mondelez International (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status.

Salary and Benefits:The base salary ranges for this position are shown below; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
Any other location base salary range: $65,875.00
