Summary

The Research Administration Specialist I is responsible for delivering a range of administrative specialist support services to the Research Division. Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day administrative operations, including learning about basic grant level proposals, administrative duties related to department chairs, department leaders, and department program activities within the division.
This position is the first level in the Research Administration career path and is vital for ensuring the efficient operation of the division and maintaining a professional work environment.Position Highlights: The Virtual Health Business Analyst (VHBA) collaborates with Moffitt team members to leverage virtual health technologies in delivering care and analyzing high level business requirements. The VHBA will create functional specifications and report documentation to define how applications will behave based on customer needs. He/she will provide guidance in defining system and process requirements that promote exceptional patient, provider and staff experience. In addition, this team member will contribute to end user support and technical education to optimize adoption of these technologies. The VHBA will collect and analyze information to formulate the scope and objectives of technology solutions. They build user stories, translate stories into functional, technical requirements and acceptance criteria, scope technical and training documentation and ensuring products are delivered error free according to user requirements. They can easily translate requirements into test plans and work with all business owners through all stages of the software development life cycle. Responsibilities: Partners with internal and external users (e.g., team members, leadership, patients) and IT teams to capture context - problem, current state, desired future state, objectives, business needs and impacted user groups Develops requirements (business, user and software requirements - functional and non-functional). Establishes traceability of business and functional requirements in support the business vision. Responsible for executing elicitation techniques such as interviews, facilitated workshops, focus groups, observation, documentation study and surveys, and exploratory prototypes. Plays a critical communications role by interacting with user (business domain) and with developers and testing personnel (technical domain). Review feature "Ideas" from internal and external sources then escalate those features internally, for future development. Adhere to SDLC, software development life cycle, and work with management to continue to improve organizational maturity. Designs and develops effective Virtual Health solutions that may include reports and dashboards using available tools Timely respond ad-hoc data requests from Moffitt data users by performing data extracts, queries, creating reports, fixing identified data issues, addressing technical questions. Performs data accuracy audits, data quality assurance and quality review procedures Monitor quality and compliance of services to ensure excellence in service to patients and clinicians. Investigates and follows up with functional areas to monitor vendors practices are compliant while bringing quality and value. Monitor that corrective action plans are cured timely and effectively and report accordingly. Track existing account usage for clinicians, patients and families to deliver virtual health services in line with Moffitt branded experiences. Credentials and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Design, Health care or related field required. **5 years of directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of a specialized Bachelor's degree. Minimum of five (5) years experience with: Working in Information Technology analyzing and documenting business, stakeholder, functional and non-functional technical requirements in support of strategic and/or operational initiatives and projects. - OR - * Associate's with an additional two (2) years IT systems support plus the five (5) years (for a total of 7 years) systems support and analysis may be considered "in lieu of" an Bachelor's degree. - OR - * High School diploma/GED with an additional four (4) years IT systems support plus the five (5) years (for a total of 9 years) systems support and analysis may be considered "in lieu of" an Bachelor's degree. Minimum of three(3) years of experience with: IT or Business Project role for analysis, development, and testing. Proficient in requirements gathering methodologies and the SDLC. Minimum of two (2) years of experience with: Facilitating sessions using techniques to help define scope and requirements of medium to large projects that may cross 2 or more business and technical domains. Preferred: Experience supporting consumer facing products. Demonstrated knowledge of program support, informational architecture and ongoing product optimization.
