Virtual Fair information

What are virtual fairs?

Virtual fairs are online events that simulate traditional in-person fairs, such as job fairs, college fairs, or trade shows, using digital platforms. They allow exhibitors and attendees to connect, interact, and share information through live chats, webinars, virtual booths, and other online tools. Virtual fairs provide a convenient and cost-effective way for people to network and access resources from anywhere with an internet connection.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a virtual fair coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Virtual Fair Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, event planning experience, and a background in marketing or communications. Familiarity with virtual event platforms, webinar tools, and analytics software is typically required, along with certifications in event management being beneficial. Excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability help in managing remote teams and engaging diverse participants. These skills ensure seamless event execution, high attendee satisfaction, and measurable outcomes in a digital environment.

What are some common challenges faced by coordinators of virtual fairs, and how can they be addressed?

Coordinators of virtual fairs often encounter challenges such as managing multiple technology platforms, ensuring smooth communication among participants, and handling unexpected technical issues during live events. Success in this role relies on strong organizational skills, familiarity with virtual event software, and proactive troubleshooting. Collaborating closely with IT support and regularly communicating with exhibitors and attendees can help address these challenges and ensure a seamless experience for all involved.

While both Virtual Fair and Virtual Career Fair are online events, the Virtual Fair is a broader event hosting various industries and purposes, whereas the Virtual Career Fair specifically targets employment opportunities and job seekers. The latter is more focused on connecting candidates with recruiters for potential jobs, making it the preferred choice for those actively seeking employment.

How do you do a virtual job fair?

To organize a virtual job fair, employers and organizers set up an online platform or event portal where job seekers can register, view company profiles, and attend live or pre-recorded presentations. Participants typically use video conferencing tools, chat features, and digital resumes to interact with recruiters and apply for jobs. Preparation includes promoting the event, scheduling sessions, and ensuring technical support for smooth interactions.

What is a virtual fair like?

A virtual fair for a job involves online platforms where employers and job seekers connect through video chats, chat rooms, and digital booths. Speech-Language Pathologist – Mansfield, Ohio

Get Paid for the Work You Actually Do. Deliver Meaningful Outcomes. Stay Supported.

  • Location: Mansfield, OH

  • Schedule: School-day hours (aligned with student schedules)

  • Employment Type: 1099 (Independent Contractor) and W2 options available

  • Availability: 1 day per week; 4-5 hours

This is an in-person, school-based Speech-Language Pathologist role, supporting students across K–12 school settings. You’ll work in coordination with school teams and families, supported by clear workflows, structured onboarding, and dedicated internal support.

About HelloHero

HelloHero delivers related and behavioral health services to students nationwide. Since 2017, we’ve supported over 15,000 students through school districts in 28 states. We focus on fair compensation and exceptional support through our Service Managers. 75% of our clinicians have been with us for over 3 years, reflecting the consistency and support we provide. Our mission is to ensure students receive the services they need to succeed—while creating a more sustainable, supported environment for the clinicians who make that possible.

Compensation & Pay Structure

  • Rate: $275-$325 per day

  • Annual Loyalty Bonus

  • Paid for documentation, IEP meetings, assessments, and progress reporting

  • Paid for no-shows and late cancellations

  • 15 mins extra added to your first session for every new student added to your caseload (hourly roles) for IEP review and scheduling time

  • Flexible employment options, including 1099 or W2, based on your preference

  • Paid training ($20/hour), including HR onboarding, platform training, and school-specific training

Why Our Roles Are Different

  • Clear expectations – Defined workflows and documentation standards

  • Real support – Dedicated Service Manager who advocates for YOU with schools and supports you day-to-day, along with structured onboarding and consistent, responsive communication

  • Access to assessment tools and resources – Supporting evaluation and reporting so you’re not sourcing or managing materials on your own

  • Peer support – Access to internal, discipline-specific chat channels for real-time collaboration, questions, and shared resources

  • Fair compensation – You’re paid for sessions, documentation, and no-shows—not just time in session

  • Flexibility – Choose to work as a HelloHero employee or independent contractor, with part-time and full-time options. While services are delivered during school hours, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your day and caseload

  • Streamlined technology – Sessions are delivered through our proprietary platform, simplifying scheduling, documentation, and service delivery

  • Efficient scheduling tools – Our platform includes auto-scheduling capabilities for many assignments, reducing time spent coordinating sessions

  • Opportunities for growth – Flexibility to build and expand your caseload over time based on your preferences and availability

  • Licensure support – Support for cross-licensing in additional states as opportunities arise

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver speech-language services aligned with IEPs

  • Conduct assessments and implement interventions

  • Develop goals and track student progress

  • Complete documentation and progress reports

  • Participate in IEP meetings and team collaboration

  • Communicate with school staff, families, and stakeholders

Scheduling

  • Scheduling is aligned with student availability

  • Structured caseloads and scheduling support

Requirements

  • Active Ohio license, required

  • CCC-SLP preferred

  • Active Ohio BCI Background check

  • Experience with IEPs and school-based collaboration (1 year minimum experience preferred)
