Job description

The Opportunity 

As One Medical continues to expand and transform the primary care experience, we're seeking physicians to deliver exceptional virtual primary care. In this role, you'll care for One Medical patients through scheduled and on-demand visits via video and asynchronous messaging channels.  

The One Medical Virtual Medical Team (VMT) is a leading provider of virtual clinical care, providing world-class, convenient, evidence-based virtual medical care to One Medical patients. Through advanced technology and a team-based approach, we care for patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our team is united by intellectual curiosity, inclusiveness, and a powerful mission: transforming healthcare and bringing world-class primary care to everyone. 

Employment type: 

  • Full time (40 hours including some evenings and weekends) 
  • Location: Remote, must reside in the United States  

What you'll be working on: 

  • Treat patients via telehealth visits, including video visit appointments, and message-based care 
  • Manage patients with a broad array of patient needs virtually, conducting a mix of acute, chronic, and well visits 
  • Adopt standard work and clinical protocols for evidence-based clinical care 
  • Continuous learning during weekly Clinical Rounds and through other modalities 
  • Ongoing collaboration with teammates and leadership via daily huddles 
  • Collaborative oversight of 4-8 NP or PA colleagues 

Education, licenses and experience required for this role: 

  • Completed an accredited Internal or Family Medicine residency program 
  • Practiced at least 2 of the last 5 years in a primary care or virtual primary care setting 
  • Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine 
  • Active state license in either CA, NY or DC 
  • Minimum of 25 state licenses and willingness to obtain and maintain additional licenses with the support of our One Medical Credentialing Team

Preferred: 

  • Experience with virtual care and/or virtual primary care preferred

One Medical is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. 

The base salary range for this role is $262,000 to $278,500 based on a full-time schedule. Final determination of starting pay may vary based on factors such as practice experience and patient care schedule. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
