Description

NYU Langone Hospital Long Island is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join its Overnight Rapid Response team. This individual will provide hands-on technical support for end-user devices, clinical systems, printers, workstations, mobile devices, and network-connected equipment throughout the hospital environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong desktop support experience within large enterprise environments and be comfortable working independently during overnight hours while supporting mission-critical healthcare operations. This role requires a combination of technical troubleshooting expertise, customer service skills, hardware deployment experience, and the ability to respond quickly to end-user issues within established service level agreements. Responsibilities Include: Provide onsite desktop support for physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and clinical personnel. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, operating system, and connectivity issues. Image, configure, deploy, and upgrade desktop computers, laptops, and workstations. Perform workstation replacements, refreshes, moves, additions, and changes. Deploy and support printers, scanners, peripherals, and clinical devices. Configure and support Wyse thin clients and virtual desktop environments. Configure and support iPhones, iPads, and mobile devices. Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot clinical and business software applications. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving wired and wireless devices. Support Active Directory user accounts, password resets, permissions, and access requests. Perform incident response and rapid remediation for end-user technology issues. Conduct routine rounds throughout the facility to ensure equipment is functioning properly. Monitor system health and proactively identify technology issues before they impact users. Document troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and technical findings within the ticketing system. Maintain accurate asset inventory records and deployment documentation. Assist with hardware rollouts, operating system upgrades, refresh initiatives, and technology projects. Perform wire and cable management to ensure work areas remain organized and compliant with standards. Capture before and after documentation of infrastructure and cable management work. Provide one-on-one instruction and guidance to end users regarding hardware, software, and standard procedures. Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, networking, and application support teams when escalations are required. Ensure compliance with all company policies related to security, data privacy, and technology standards. Meet ticket closure and response metrics while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Participate in workstation audits, inventory validation, and asset lifecycle management activities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
