Job Title: Data Governance Analyst
Job Location: NYC, NY (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Data Governance and Data Quality Analyst with 2-3+ years of experience to support data quality operations, governance standards, and cross-functional collaboration between business and technology teams. This role focuses on building and executing data quality rules, maintaining governance artifacts, and ensuring accurate, well-managed data across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and run daily data quality (DQ) rules, reconciliations, and monitoring routines; automate where possible.
• Troubleshoot data issues using SQL and partner with business and IT teams to define rules and resolve breaks.
• Track and report daily data quality metrics; build and maintain Power BI dashboards for management.
• Maintain data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, glossaries, and catalogs.
• Support governance standards, policies, and data lineage initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between technical and business teams, contributing governance insight to project backlogs and global data initiatives.
Required Skills:
• 2-3+ years in Data Governance or Data Quality.
• Strong understanding of data governance concepts (DQ rules, cataloging, metadata).
• Power BI proficiency and strong Excel/data analysis capabilities.
• SQL for issue diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Cross-functional communication and stakeholder collaboration.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Ataccama or similar data governance tools.
• Familiarity with Python and/or R.
• Experience in Microsoft Azure environments.
• Insurance industry background (preferred but not required).
• Experience with SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence.
