Business Analytics Analyst
Morris Plains, NJ (Hybrid remote)

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Business Analytics Analyst for a contract, hybrid role based in Morris Plains, NJ. In this role, you will support and maintain web-based, self-service reporting applications used by internal stakeholders, clients, and brokers. Acting as a key liaison between business and technology teams, you will gather and translate business needs into actionable requirements, ensuring data accuracy, reporting reliability, and the successful delivery of enhancements. You will also be responsible for data research and validation, quality assurance and user acceptance testing, and effective communication of project status, risks, and issues. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with strong SQL skills, experience in business applications and analytics solutions, and a demonstrated ability to adapt to new systems and technologies. Experience with AI tools is a plus.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Support and maintain web-based, self-service reporting applications for internal teams, clients, and brokers.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Conduct data research, analysis, validation, and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reporting solutions.
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system functionality and readiness for production deployment.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and analyze production issues as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, validating, and analyzing complex datasets.
  • Experience supporting business applications, reporting platforms, or analytics solutions.
  • Experience performing Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems, technologies, and business processes quickly.
  • Experience working with AI or utilizing AI tools is a plus.
