** We have seasonal positions starting in September, lasting through at least December. You must be flexible between 7am and 7pm Central time. Bilingual candidates (Spanish and French) preferred.
Summary
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for supporting the Employee Services Team and utilizing Workday, case management, knowledge base, and contact center technologies and processes. The service team's functional areas of support are benefit Administration, Help Desk, and/or Workforce Administration.
Responsibilities
  • Provides professional and timely service to internal and external customers
  • Processes benefit-related changes such as life-status changes, address changes, etc.
  • Resolves benefit administration service issues with internal staff and outside Vendors
  • Counsels employees regarding benefit programs, including plan features, procedures, eligibility, and premium information
  • Performs monthly reconciliation of Carrier invoices to report to customers

Qualifications
Education/Certification Requirements
  • High school diploma required

Required
  • 2-5 years of related benefits experience and/or training
  • Customer Service experience is a must
  • Must have knowledge of group life and health; knowledge of federal regulations such as Section 125, ERISA, and COBRA
  • Must be able to cope in a fast-paced, demanding environment and manage sensitive, confidential issues.
  • Professional communication skills
  • Proficient PC Skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, HRIS, etc.)

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish or French
