Job description

It's that time of year again! Our BIGGEST event of the year! Our annual "A Night Under the Stars" charity gala taking place on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 7p.m. This is our annual charity event to raise awareness for childhood cancer and to learn how the Hailey Bankhead Foundation is making a positive impact here in Georgia and across the globe. The theme this year: ๐ŸŽทThe Roaring Twenties! ๐ŸŽท

This unforgettable night brings together partners, supporters, and parents for an experience filled with connection, purpose, and celebration. This event is more than just a fundraiserโ€”itโ€™s a moment of light for families navigating the darkest of times and we need YOU to help to make this impactful evening a success.

The event will be held in Jonesboro, GA and volunteers will be expected to arrive a couple of hours prior to the event. Volunteers are needed to assist with greeting guests, registration, the silent auction, and food service. Volunteers for this event will need to wear a white collared shirt (button down/dress shirt/polo), black slacks/skirt, and your favorite pair of comfortable black closed-toe shoes or black sneakers. Some volunteer positions require semi-formal attire corresponding with this year's theme.

If you would like to volunteer, please submit an interest form. This is a very important fundraising event so we are asking for serious volunteer interests only. It is paramount that volunteers who sign up commit to arriving and showing up on time. Moreover, there will be a virtual meeting prior to the event to provide details of each assignment and answer any questions you may have.

We do not take the giving of your time and commitment to serve with us lightly and we truly appreciate all you do in support of our mission. We hope to serve with you at this year's "A Night Under the Stars: Roaring Twenties" as we unite for an evening of elegance, awareness, and hope.
