Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and highly articulate Virtual Visual Interpreter to provide real-time workplace support for employees who are blind or have low vision. In this role, you will serve as a trusted accessibility partner, delivering live visual descriptions and navigation assistance through video, screen-sharing, and remote communication tools.


This is a highly people-focused role that combines strong communication skills, visual analysis, problem-solving, and a passion for accessibility and inclusion. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to helping others navigate workplace environments with confidence and independence.


What You'll Do:

· Provide real-time verbal descriptions of visual environments, documents, presentations, screens, printed materials, equipment, and workplace surroundings

· Translate complex visual information into clear, concise, objective "word pictures" to support employee understanding and decision-making

· Assist employees with navigation of physical and digital spaces using directional guidance and spatial orientation techniques

· Read and interpret signage, forms, labels, written materials, and on-screen content

· Support employees with identifying people, objects, room layouts, and workplace environments

· Guide users through software navigation, office equipment usage, and basic technology troubleshooting

· Utilize video conferencing platforms, screen-sharing tools, remote access applications, and assistive technology systems to deliver support

· Adapt communication style and descriptions to meet individual employee needs and preferences

· Document session activity, identify accessibility concerns, and contribute recommendations for service improvement

· Maintain strict confidentiality while supporting employees and handling sensitive information
