Job description

Workforce Solutions partners directly with leading small to mid-sized CPA firms across the United States to connect them with top talent in the public accounting industry. We are currently working with a rapidly growing CPA firm based in South Dakota with additional office locations in Wyoming and Nebraska to find tax talent to join their team in hybrid, and onsite roles. Don't live nearby? They provide a fantastic relocation package!

What's the role?

Tax Seniors and Managers are a key part of the business tax team and are responsible for managing client relationships while ensuring final annual tax products and monthly financial work are produced and delivered to clients within expected timelines. This includes:

  • Preparing payroll, tax, and business records and reports.
  • Preparing corporate and individual tax returns.
  • Building new and strengthening existing client relationships while demonstrating basic knowledge of clients' businesses.
  • Communicating and meeting with clients as requested; providing recommendations to assist clients with financial or tax need

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

  • 3+ years in a similar role within a public accounting firm.
  • Strong experience with agriculture industry tax returns is a plus!
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting highly desired or equivalent work experience.
  • CPA certification is highly desired or ability to attain.
  • Experience working in CCH ProSystem is a plus, but not required as training is provided.

Great Perks and Benefits:

Some major perks this firm can offer are long-term job stability, work-life balance to support raising a family, and significant opportunity to grow your career within the firm. In addition:

  • Relocation packages include the ability to work remotely during the transition to the area.
  • Two medical insurance plan options.
  • Prescription drug plan through SmithRX.
  • Virtual medical service through Teledoc.
  • Delta Dental and Optilegra, Inc. vision insurance plans.
  • Company-paid life insurance.
  • Supplemental insurance options for life, AD&D, STD, and LTD.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), travel assistance, hearing discount, and legal will prep services programs.
  • FSA/HSA account options.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • 401k employer matching program to save for retirement.
  • Continuing education and CPA assistance.
  • Incredible potential for upward mobility and career growth.

What will my schedule look like?

Generally, you can flex the typical Monday-Friday 8a-5p schedule around any personal passions or family time as long as business needs are being met. Being in the public accounting industry, schedules reflect the busy season of the tax industry February through May with about 56 hours per week, but enjoy the comp time you earn for hours worked over 40 in a week as extra PTO and time off the rest of the year!

So how can I be considered for these opportunities?

The first step is applying with your resume. Qualified candidates will then complete a phone screen, followed by an interview with the firm.
