As a proud branch of Odehebi Roots and Wellness (ORW)โ€”a performing arts organization based in Ghana and operating out of Baltimore, Marylandโ€”this special performance directly supports the operational management and growth of ORW's wellness initiatives.


Position Title:

Assistant & Motivational Coach โ€“ Performing Arts & R&B Musical

Employment Type: Remote (with required on-site travel for rehearsals and performances)


Compensation:

Profit-Share & Performance-Based Incentives (High upside based on production success and results)


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly energetic, organized, and emotionally intelligent Assistant and Motivational Coach to support the artist and production of an upcoming R&B musical.


This hybrid role requires a unique blend of administrative efficiency and performance coaching. You will serve as the backbone of daily operations while keeping the artist inspired, focused, and mentally prepared to deliver world-class performances.The ideal candidate thrives in creative, fast-paced environments, understands the emotional highs and lows of performing artists, and is driven by a results-oriented compensation model.


Core Responsibilities

1. Motivational Coaching, Artist Support, Artist Wellness:

Act as a trusted confidant and mindset coach for artist, helping manage stage fright, performance anxiety, and the emotional demands of an R&B production.


Energy & Focus Management: Assist with pre-rehearsal and pre-show warm-ups focused on mental alignment, focus, and group synergy.


Conflict Resolution: Mediate minor interpersonal issues within the artist or crew to maintain a harmonious, high-vibe creative environment.


Goal Setting: Help artist set and track weekly artistic and professional growth goals throughout the rehearsal process.

2. Production & Administrative Assistance


Scheduling & Logistics: Coordinate remote and in-person rehearsal schedules, assisting with travel arrangements and ensuring the artist arrives on time.


Communication Hub: Serve as the primary liaison between venues, accommodation, and transportation, ensuring clear, timely updates regarding script changes, wardrobe, and travel.


Digital Organization: Monitor social platforms for digital updates on upcoming events and communication ensuring messages are responded to in timely manner.


On-Site Coordination: Assist with backstage logistics, prop management, and artist needs during live runs and tech weeks.


Requirements & QualificationsBackground:

Possession of your Passport is required.

Experience in performing arts, theater, the music industry, or life/performance coaching. A deep appreciation for R&B music and culture is highly preferred.

Skills: Exceptional communication, empathy, and active listening skills, combined with sharp organizational and time-management abilities.

Tools: Proficiency with remote work tools (Zoom, Google Workspace, Slack, Trello, or similar project management apps).

Availability: Mostly virtual with the exception of live events. Flexible schedule to accommodate varying rehearsal times, including evenings and weekends during peak production phases.

Travel: Willingness and ability to travel to on-site rehearsal spaces and venue locations as required by the production schedule.


Compensation & PerksProfit-Share Structure:

This is a results-driven position. Your base compensation is tied directly to the production's profitability, ticket sales, and successfully met milestones, offering immense financial upside for an impactful contributor.


Travel Expenses: All approved lodging, transit, and travel expenses for on-site production dates will be fully covered or reimbursed.
