Job description

What Impact You'll Have: GRVTY is seeking Systems Administrators to support Department of Defense/IC missions at Fort Meade, MD. You will be responsible for Linux Systems Administration while supporting IC missions that are vital to our national security. What You'll be Owning * Creates, and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS). * Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches. * Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines. * Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality. * Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support. * Apply patches and upgrades. * Troubleshoot server issues. * Administer customer accounts * Deploy monitoring tools. * Deploy applications and tools. * Assist with escalated customer tickets. * Installation and cabling of equipment What You Must Have: * Active TS/SCI with polygraph (polygraph must be within last 6 years) * 10 years of systems administration experience OR technical bachelor's degree + 5 years of systems administration experience * Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent) * Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository * Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines) * Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus * Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, NiFi) What Would be Nice to Have * Syslog/NxLog * Nagios or other similar monitoring applications * Scripting experience (Python/Perl) Pay Range: At GRVTY, we understand that compensation is influenced by many factors-such as geographic location, federal contract labor categories, wage rates, prior experience, skillsets, education, and certifications.
