Supply Chain Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary: $70,000 – $90,000

Travel Required: 0–15%

Location: New Roads, Louisiana

Company Overview

Our client is a growing consumer products organization with approximately $75M in annual revenue and 175 employees. Headquartered in Texas, the company supports multiple nationally recognized outdoor brands and distributes products through major retailers and e-commerce channels. The Supply Chain team plays a critical role in supporting retail, distribution, and operational excellence initiatives across the organization.

Position Summary

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating production planning, purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, distribution, and forecasting activities to optimize cost, service, and operational efficiency. This role partners cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, production, and quality teams to ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, and seamless product flow from supplier to customer. The ideal candidate is analytical, process-driven, and experienced in demand planning, ERP/MRP systems, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

·      Analyze forecast demand and develop supply plans to ensure product availability

·      Monitor forecasts and quotas to assess impact on supply chain activities

·      Define and track performance metrics related to cost, quality, and service

·      Analyze inventory levels to improve turns, reduce waste, and optimize customer service

·      Support financial forecasting and inventory planning initiatives

·      Manage vendor relationships to ensure on-time material delivery

·      Monitor supplier performance related to quality and service levels

·      Partner with suppliers to improve reliability and cost efficiency.

·      Develop and improve supply chain procedures and workflows

·      Coordinate with sales, marketing, finance, production, and quality teams

·      Participate in engineering changes, product line extensions, and new product launches to ensure smooth material transitions

·      Implement process improvements to streamline distribution and inventory movement

Resolve operational issues by balancing multiple priorities and stakeholders

Qualifications & Skills

·      Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field required

·      Strong ERP/MRP system experience

·      Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

·      Knowledge of inventory planning, demand forecasting, and replenishment processes

·      Strong understanding of production processes, raw materials, quality control, and cost management

·      Analytical and complex problem-solving capabilities

·      Strong communication and presentation skills

·      Ability to manage competing priorities and cross-functional dynamics

·      Experience working with major retailers (e.g., large national retail chains and Amazon) is a plus
