Overview

We are seeking results driven self-starters interested in a career in field sales. Specifically, someone who focuses on developing relationships, and with the intelligence, enthusiasm and work ethic to develop new connections and build on existing relationships with outdoor power equipment rental dealers. These Rental Territory Managers should leverage the SCAG, Bluebird and Versatran brands to meet stated objectives. Objectives will include annual rental sales goals, product sales goals, new rental dealer recruitment, rental dealer development and the continuous upgrading of the SCAG, Bluebird and Versatran rental dealer networks.

Responsibilities

Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing rental sales operations and dealer relationships within a designated territory, driving business development, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales management skills and have a proven track record in outside sales and technical sales.

Responsibilities– To Company

  • Understand all selling and marketing programs and to develop a plan to meet annual goals and objectives.
  • Communicate the uniqueness and value of SCAG, Bluebird and Versatran products to your dealers.
  • Be an active part of our customers’ businesses – on site calls should represent the majority of a Territory Manager’s time.
  • Help and direct the dealer to devote maximum effort and resources to our products.
  • Know your competition (pricing, practices and products).
  • Perform product demonstrations as needed.

Responsibilities – To Dealer

  • Work with dealers to establish sales goals for all products and provide market vision.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Proactively help the dealer manage, control and resolve dealer problems. (sales, operational, business finance)
  • Train dealer and all sales personnel on the features & benefits of SCAG, Bluebird and Versatran products.
  • Assure dealers are informed about their major competitors. (products & operations)
  • Monitor dealer’s inventory and suggest action. (i.e. maintain proper inventory, place emphasis on slow moving merchandise.)
  • Represent your dealers to the company and vice versa.
  • Ensure dealers have signage and an on-line presence around the SCAG, Bluebird and Versatran brand.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 2+ years of external sales experience – preferably outdoor power equipment wholesale and or retail.
  • High school degree is required.
  • Great communication and follow through are necessary.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Mid to high level of proficiency with Microsoft based programs and applications (Excel, Word – others).
  • Physical ability to use and operate all forms of power equipment is required.
  • Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours (to meet customer needs).
  • Ability to travel the territory effectively – Most travel will be by pick-up truck.
  • Must live in, or be willing to locate to, assigned Scag territory.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Willingness to Travel - (80% on the Road / 20% Home Office)
