Job description

POSITION TITLE: Insurance Sales Agent, Virginia Beach, VA

STATUS: Exempt

LOCATION: Virginia Beach Branch office (with Travel to meet with existing and new clients)

REPORTS TO: Agency Manager

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Average First-Year Total Compensation: $52,000 – $125,000 annually (inclusive of base salary)

Base Salary: $37,000 – $52,000 annually (dependent upon location and established book of business)

Virginia Farm Bureau desires to hire an Insurance Sales Agent to join our team in the Virginia Beach Farm Bureau Branch Office located in Virginia Beach, VA. This position will be full time on-site at our Virginia Beach office. No relocation offered.

If you are a driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented individual, this position is for you! Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills for building strong relationships and a desire to help and serve their community members and organizations.

  • Property & Casualty license and Life, Health & Annuities license, or ability to obtain these with Virginia Farm Bureau providing and paying for licensing training materials/class.
  • Must provide proof of passing licensing test

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work independently
  • Prior sales experience (any industry) helpful but not required
