Job description

Stevens Engineers & Constructors is seeking an experienced Construction Project Administrator to join our Pittsburgh Operations Team. This role works closely with Project Managers and project teams to support day-to-day construction operations, including project documentation, union payroll, RFIs, submittals, change orders, reporting, and administrative coordination.

If you're organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and have experience supporting construction projects, we'd love to hear from you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the Project Manager and Project Team.
  • Assists in the preparation of the weekly union payroll.
  • Order office supplies for the project site.
  • Setup and maintain both electronic and hard copy files.
  • Tracking change orders, RFI’s and submittal packages.


  •  Preparation of correspondence, presentations, documents, manuals, information packages and/or reports.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for the Project Team.
  • Handle requests for information and/or documents for the Project Team as required.
  • Assist with special projects and other project-related responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications


  • Previous project administration or project coordination experience within the construction industry preferred.


  • Experience supporting Project Managers and construction project teams.


  • Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, project documentation, and reporting.


  • Experience with Viewpoint construction management software preferred; ability to learn the system required.
  • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information.
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
  • Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and become familiar with “Viewpoint” construction management software.
