East County Performing Arts Center (Brentwood, CA)
Part-Time | Project-Based | Growth Opportunity

Are you a creative storyteller who understands what is trending-and why it works?

East County Performing Arts Center is seeking a videographer/content creator to help launch and grow a YouTube show centered around dance training, studio life, and the real journey of developing as a performer.

This is an opportunity to help build a high-impact content series from the ground up, with potential to grow into a long-term, branded media platform.

What You'll Be Creating

  • A monthly or bi-monthly YouTube show
  • Short-form content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) to promote each episode
  • Behind-the-scenes and studio lifestyle content
  • Trend-driven videos that connect with dancers and families

What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who:

  • Understands what performs well on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram
  • Has a strong eye for storytelling, pacing, and emotional connection
  • Can capture both high-quality footage and authentic moments
  • Stays current with trends, sounds, and editing styles
  • Is collaborative and excited to contribute creative ideas
  • Is organized, reliable, and able to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Film on-site at our Brentwood studio
  • Edit long-form YouTube content (approximately 8-15 minutes)
  • Create short-form clips for social media promotion
  • Collaborate with our team on content themes and direction
  • Help guide content strategy based on engagement trends and performance

Ideal Candidate

  • Gen Z or trend-forward creative with a strong understanding of current content culture
  • Experience with video editing (Final Cut, Premiere, CapCut, or similar)
  • Portfolio of YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram content
  • Interest in dance, performing arts, or youth culture is strongly preferred

Why This Is a Unique Opportunity

  • Be part of building a studio-based YouTube brand from the ground up
  • Opportunity to contribute creatively and influence direction
  • Potential for growth as the channel expands
  • Ability to develop a portfolio with a growing, established brand

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly or per-project rate based on experience
  • Opportunity for increased compensation as the project grows

To Apply
Please submit:

  • Resume or brief background
  • Links to your work (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or portfolio)
  • A short note on why you are interested in this project

We are looking for someone who not only creates content, but understands how to capture attention, tell a story, and build something people want to follow.
