Location: Idaho Falls, ID
Company: Northstar Summit - Supporting American Pump & Drilling, Cherry Glass & Aluminum, and AdvantaServ

Position Overview
Northstar Summit is seeking a skilled, self-driven Videographer & Content Creator to support our family of locally owned companies, including American Pump & Drilling, Cherry Glass & Aluminum, AdvantaServ, and others. This role is focused on capturing and telling the real stories of our teams, our work, and our communities.

This is not a desk job. You will spend a significant amount of time in the field documenting day-to-day operations, interacting with crews, and capturing real moments as they happen.

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of content creation from start to finish, bring creative ideas to the table, and produce engaging, high-quality video content that reflects who we are. Review our archives of videos on our social media channels and YouTube.

Key Responsibilities

• Document day-to-day work across our blue-collar crews in the field
• Capture authentic, unscripted moments that showcase our people and culture
• Create engaging social media content (short-form and long-form)
• Produce videos that highlight our local roots, team members, and company stories
• Develop a wide variety of content styles, from fun and creative to professional and educational
• Independently plan, shoot, and execute video concepts with minimal direction
• Identify and pursue content opportunities proactively in both field and office settings
• Interact with team members to help them feel comfortable and natural on camera

Video Production & Editing

• Handle full video production process from concept to final delivery
• Edit video content including pacing, storytelling, color correction, and audio cleanup
• Deliver polished, ready-to-post content across multiple platforms
• Repurpose content into multiple formats (reels, shorts, longer videos, etc.)

Platform & Content Awareness

• Create content tailored for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
• Understand what makes content engaging, watchable, and effective
• Adapt content style and format based on platform and audience

Brand Collaboration

• Support multiple companies under the Northstar Summit umbrella
• Maintain a consistent, high-quality brand feel while adapting tone as needed
• Collaborate with leadership to align content with marketing and growth initiatives

Field Environment Expectations

• Work comfortably in active job site environments (construction, mechanical, outdoor, etc.)
• Travel locally throughout Eastern Idaho as needed
• Operate efficiently without disrupting crews or workflow

People & Culture Fit

• Build strong rapport with field and office teams
• Bring positive energy and a team-first attitude
• Help guide team members on camera in a natural, authentic way
• Take pride in highlighting skilled trades and the people behind the work

Equipment & Technical Skills

• Experience with professional camera, audio, and lighting equipment
• Ability to manage, organize, and maintain media files
• Drone experience is a plus

Qualifications

• Proven experience in videography and video editing
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
• Strong storytelling instincts and creative vision
• Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-moving environments

Bonus Skills

• Photography (for marketing, ads, and website use)
• Basic graphic design or thumbnail creation
• Social media posting or management experience
• Experience planning content, campaigns, or storyboards

What We’re Looking For

We’re not just hiring someone to film content - we’re looking for someone who can help tell the story of who we are. Someone who sees the value in hard work, takes pride in showcasing great teams, and enjoys being part of a growing group of local companies.
