Job Description

As the Film & Video Intern for Hasana, Inc. you will have a variety of responsibilities throughout the semester. ย Our Marketing team is looking for bright and innovative interns to film and edit video segments.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with filming and editing video segments.
  • Plans and directs assigned studio and field-basedย videoย production.
  • Arrange optimal lighting and camera setup for video shoots.
  • Assist in scheduling tapings and guest appearances.
  • Coordinates pre-production and production planning activities.
  • Conducts field-basedย videoย production which involves interacting with clients and operating all portableย videoย and audio equipment.
  • Transports and sets up lighting and audio equipment as required; provides limited troubleshooting and maintenance of field production equipment.
  • Plans and performsย videoย post-production tasks which includes reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, tape logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing.
  • Utilizes computer graphics and special effects forย videoย post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts
  • Compressesย videoย projects for output; makeย videoย products available in a variety of formats; and coordinates internal and external duplication services as required.
Qualifications
  • A passion for women's economic opportunities.
  • Must be a full or part-time student and working toward a degree.
  • Must be eligible to receive school credit and commit to 2-3 days a week for 3 months.
  • Comfortable with ambiguityย and able to work autonomously.
  • Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks.
  • Must have access to film production and editing equipment.
  • Familiarity with video production equipment and software.
  • Interest in filming and editing video segments.
  • College level coursework inย videoย production.
  • Comfort with ย post-production equipment, Final Cut Studio, Adobe Creative Suite,ย videoย editing software,ย Macintosh and PC operating systems.
  • Knowledge of videoย production procedures, practices, techniques, and terminology; principles of analog and digitalย videoย capture.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with a variety of personalities.
  • Ability to take initiative and must have the confidence to learn in a "live" environment.
  • Must be reliable with excellent organizational skills and very strong attention to detail.
