OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.JOB DESCRIPTION

The news team at FOX 26 and FOX Local Houston is re-imagining how local news is gathered and delivered. We no longer wait for appointed times to deliver content. We're a 24/7 STREAMING FIRST news organization.

As we continue to evolve, we're hiring a Streaming Producer with strong technical instincts and a deep understanding of digital-first news production. This role is centered on live streaming, social video, and platform-native storytelling. You will be responsible for producing, managing, and optimizing live and on-demand content across FOX LOCAL and social platforms, ensuring coverage is fast, accurate, compelling, and technically sound.

Reporting to the Sr. Producer of Streaming, the ideal candidate is fluent in the mechanics of streaming production and social distribution, CTV, and understands how audiences consume news outside of linear TV. The producer will know how to balance speed, quality, and journalistic integrity. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a live environment and wants to build the future of local news.

Here's what you'll need to be successful in this role:

  • You are digitally native, technically confident, and calm under pressure. You understand streaming workflows, live production, and social platform best practices.
  • You have strong news judgment, pay attention to detail, and make smart editorial and technical decisions quickly.
  • You enjoy collaborating across teams, experimenting with new formats, and using date to improve performance.
  • You want to create content that reaches audiences where they are and keeps them coming back.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Producing and managing live and recorded streaming coverage of breaking news, live events, press conferences, and original programming for FOX LOCAL and social platforms.
  • Operating and overseeing streaming production tools, including live switching, encoding, clipping, publishing, and real-time troubleshooting.
  • Creating platform-native digital and social video content, including live clips, short-form video, graphics, and text-based storytelling optimized for mobile & CTV consumption.
  • Collaborating with newsroom, digital, social, and production teams to align coverage, workflows, and priorities across platforms.
  • Monitoring real-time analytics, audience behavior, and trending topics to inform editorial and production decisions before, during, and after live streams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, Media Production,TV/Film production, or related field with a digital focus.
  • Two or more years of experience producing digital video, live streams, or social-first news content. Newsroom experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical proficiency with live streaming workflows, including video switching, live publishing, clipping, and distribution.
  • Hands-on experience with video editing tools and production software, Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings or late nights.
  • Will be required to work weekend and holidays shifts as needed and will be required to be on site during major breaking news events and weather emergencies.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $55,000.00-67,500.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
