We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Video Producer II (Hybrid) on our Marketing & Membership Experience team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office.
This role will produce visually compelling videos (short docs, shorts,video podcasts, narrative segments, YouTube videos, and social media videos)that turn health information into engaging content for patients and the public.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Video Production
  • Craft stories into captivating digital compositions, combining interview clips, sound effects, music, text, and visuals, as needed
  • Edit and/or write scripts and questions and structure audio and video interviews into compelling narratives
  • Produce and edit a variety of patient focused videos for different platforms including YouTube and Social Media
  • Assist with pre-production, production, and postproduction for external production partners

Collaboration
  • Collaborate as part of a cross-functional team consisting of copywriters, video manager, and project leads
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions within the creative team as well as with external production partners
  • Provide fresh, thoughtful, creative ideas to engage viewers

REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Bachelor's degree in filmmaking, digital media production, journalism, or similar communication field required
  2. Minimum 3+ years of video production experience required
  3. Strong background in YouTube and social media video production, and video storytelling; experience as a video journalist, visual journalist, documentary filmmaker, or science communicator preferred
  4. Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Media Encoder. Familiarity with MS Office programs (particularly PowerPoint)
  5. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills required. Experience working on team-based projects/portfolio work (with script writers, directors, etc.) preferred
  6. Conceptual thinker who can develop and execute creative ideas in effective digital content areas (video, animation & audio) required
  7. Ability to work in changing, fast-paced environment with proven ability to meet deadline required
  8. Self-starter who is comfortable working on multiple complex projects simultaneously required
  9. Detail-oriented, versatile, and creative professional with excellent organizational skills required
  10. Familiarity with Descript software and digital media publishing platforms (e.g., Libsyn, Simplecast, YouTube, and Brightcove) a plus

This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $74,160 - $98,318. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration and geographical location, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
