Title: Sr AI Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL 60606 (Hybrid)

Interview process: 1st round with Randstad Tech Director and 2nd round with client (1 hr video Microsoft Teams: Panel with System Architects and Sr Engineer)

  • Senior engineer with strong AI expertise; hands-on with Claude Code or Cursor, prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG pipelines.

  • Daily collaboration with business partners (esp. underwriters); ability to translate requirements into AI-driven solutions and prototypes.

  • Strong soft skills: personable, polished communicator, enthusiastic team player; customer engagement and relationship-building are critical.

  • Big plus: Insurance/underwriting background; adaptable in cross-functional pods, building prototypes that transition to production.
