Our mission is to empower kids with the skills they need to thrive in the digital world while fostering creativity, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for learning. In our center, kids ages 5-14 years old learn to interact with technology in a fun, non-intimidating way. Kids have a blast and can't wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new STEM skills including coding, logic, and critical thinking, as they progress from white to black belt. What are we looking for?
We are looking for a positive, trustworthy, and motivated self-starter to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our Sensei are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement for After School programs, Weekends, and/or Summer Camps. Are you experienced in working with children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem-solving skills in young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you.
Responsibilities include:
  • Training - go through the curriculum we provide and learn it to assist others
  • Quickly pick up basic concepts of new technologies
  • Create a positive and safe space in which students can learn and grow
  • Illustrate patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards guiding and supporting students through their learning journey.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where children feel encouraged to explore and experiment with coding and technology.
  • Incorporate a variety of technology-related topics and activities into the curriculum, such as robotics, Minecraft, Roblox, YouTube content creation, 3D printing, AI, and more.
  • Provide feedback to parents after working with a student
  • Follow opening/closing duties daily, as well as clean the dojo throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards
  • Report monthly to Center Manager on development opportunities, weekly to Center Manager on personal progress, and daily to Center Manager with respect to the day's activities and student productivity in dojo
  • Prompt and timely attendance for scheduled After School hours, Weekend hours, and/or Summer Camps
  • Internships/Intern Projects can be accommodated for Small Business Operations, Digital Marketing, and IT.
  • Current shifts available: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 3:30PM - 7:30PM; Saturday at 10AM - 2PM; and Summer Camps every weekday at 9AM - 12PM or 12:30PM - 3:30PM from June 1 until August 7 (no camps the week of June 29 - July 3).

Qualifications:
  • Working history with children ages 5 and up (coaching, tutoring, babysitting, camp counselor, etc.)
  • Formal experience in teaching, mentoring or child-care preferred but not required
  • Works well with others; and actively collaborates with team and manager
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences
  • Ability to maintain order within a group setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse kids of varying ages, learning styles, personalities, abilities, and backgrounds
  • Must be fun to work with and like working in fast-paced environments where requirements can change frequently
  • Interest in various technology-related topics, including but not limited to robotics, Minecraft, Roblox, YouTube content creation, 3D printing, and AI.
  • Knowledgeable about coding/STEM and expertise with related technologies preferred but not required
  • CPR certification and First Aid knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Ability to pass background check for those 18+

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
