AI at BambooHR

At BambooHR, we're all about setting people free to do great work, and we believe AI is a powerful partner in that mission. We're leaning into intelligent tools to streamline our workflows, giving us more time for high-impact innovation. We look for curious, forward-thinking people who are ready to explore how AI can elevate their work and help us reimagine the future of HR.

Essential Job Duties

As a Technical Product Specialist (Add-Ons) at BambooHR, you'll help set both new prospects and existing customers free to do great work by guiding them toward the right BambooHR add-on solutions at the right time. You'll partner closely with Account Executives (AEs) and Account Expansion Executives (AEEs) to bring deep product expertise into customer conversations and help win complex, multi-product deals.

This role blends consultative selling, domain expertise, and collaboration. You'll be brought into high-impact moments where clarity, credibility, and confidence matter — helping customers understand how Payroll, Benefits Administration, and Time Tracking can support their intended outcomes.

You will:

  • Multi-product add-on selling: Sell Payroll, Benefits Administration, and Time Tracking to both net new prospects (Acquisition) and existing BambooHR customers (Expansion), aligning solutions to customer needs and business goals.
  • Specialist support in active deals: Partner with AEs and AEEs through discovery, demos, and deal execution in a way that both helps close the platform deal and drives meaningful add-on upsell.
  • Expert-led product demonstrations: Conduct demos that translate deep product and industry knowledge into clear, simplified messaging that connects customer challenges to BambooHR solutions.
  • Proactive opportunity identification: Identify add-on opportunities within active deals and push to be included when specialist expertise will improve deal quality, confidence, or conversion.
  • Pipeline ownership and prioritization: Manage and prioritize a revolving pipeline of specialist-supported opportunities across multiple products in a fast-moving environment.
  • Customer and internal communication: Communicate effectively with customers and internal partners via phone, video, and email to keep deals moving forward with clarity and alignment.
  • Value-based selling execution: Apply BambooHR's value-based sales methodology to uncover customer outcomes, align solutions, and support consistent deal execution.
  • Pipeline hygiene and forecasting: Maintain accurate pipeline data, forecasting, and follow-through in Salesforce to support visibility and predictability.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Expansion, Acquisition, Enablement, Product, and Customer Experience teams to ensure a seamless and trusted customer experience.
  • Full engagement and availability: Be present and engaged full-time, Monday–Friday from 8 AM–5 PM.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • 1-2 years of Relevant Experience: Prior experience in sales, solutions consulting, or customer-facing SaaS roles
  • Collaborative Selling: Strong collaboration and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence without owning the full deal
  • Conveying Value: Ability to articulate the value of multiple products through demos, calls, and written follow-up
  • Excellent Communication:  Ability to explain complex topics in a clear, persuasive, and approachable way via written and verbal communication.
  • Superb Organizational Skills: Strong organization and prioritization skills in a fast-moving, high-volume environment
  • Internal & External Multi-threading: Ability to engage multiple stakeholders across a full pipeline of opportunities simultaneously

What Will Make Us REALLY Love You

  • Experience selling or supporting Payroll, Benefits Administration, HR, or workforce technology
  • Familiarity with benefits, payroll workflows, or broker-influenced buying motions
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted product expert on customer calls
  • A proactive mindset — you look for opportunities to add value rather than waiting to be asked
  • Strong coaching mindset: you seek feedback, apply it, and continuously improve
  • Highly team-oriented, with a focus on shared wins and long-term customer success
  • Positive, resilient attitude in the face of change and complexity

What You'll Love About Us

  • A Great Company Culture that has been recognized by multiple organizations like Inc, and Salt Lake Tribune
  • Comprehensive health, life, and disability insurance
  • Generous leave policies that include 4 weeks of vacation, 12 company holidays, parental leave, and volunteer time off so you can enjoy quality of life
  • 401k plans with up to 6% company match
  • $2000 Paid-Paid Vacation bonus
  • EAP through Headspace
