LEGENDS & THE PROJECT | UNIVERSITY OFMIAMI

The University of Miami has entered a long-term partnership with Legends to oversee athletics ticket sales, customer service, annual fund solicitation/engagement, ticket operations, digital marketing, corporate partnerships, and multi-media rights opportunities. In addition, Legends will represent the University in developing campus-wide strategic partnerships. As the exclusive partner for Miami Athletics, Legends will engage Hurricanes fans and donors, local and regional South Florida businesses, and national brands with unique and integrated sponsorship, ticketing, and hospitality options.

THE ROLE

The Video/Content Production Intern will support the Miami Hurricanes Creative Video & Content team. This internship provides hands-on experience in sports video production and content creation, giving students the opportunity to learn directly from professionals in the field. The intern will assist with filming, editing, organizing content, and covering events, while contributing to creative storytelling that informs, entertains, and inspires Miami's fan base.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with filming and editing content for social media, YouTube, and MiamiHurricanes.com.
  • Contribute ideas during team brainstorming sessions for features, short-form content, and storytelling.
  • Support production needs during shoots, including equipment setup and basic lighting/audio.
  • Help log, tag, and organize video assets from games, interviews, and events.
  • Assist with coverage of select home games and athletics events across Miami's 18 varsity sports.
  • Provide support on creative projects such as intro videos, sponsored content, and player features.
  • Help maintain video production gear and ensure equipment is properly organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Creative Video & Content team.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Familiarity with Adobe Premiere or similar video editing software; knowledge of After Effects or Photoshop is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of camera operation (DSLR, mirrorless, or cinema).
  • Strong interest in sports, visual storytelling, and digital media.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and some game days.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Current college student pursuing a degree in media production, film, communications, journalism, or related field.
  • Previous experience in video production (class projects, student organizations, or prior internships) is a plus but not required.
  • Availability to commit to the internship schedule, including select nights and weekends.
  • Final candidates will be subject to successful completion of a background check.
