Position Overview

Lument is seeking a Senior Designer, Marketing & Communications to lead and execute creative production and brand management across the organization, operating within established creative workflows and contributing to process improvements as needed. Reporting to the Senior Director, Content & Corporate Communications, this role is responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, on-brand creative assets that support Lument's business lines, strategic initiatives, and market presence.

This position will serve as a central coordinator for creative intake, prioritization, and production - partnering closely with internal stakeholders, channel leads, and external vendors to manage workflows, maintain brand standards, and drive efficient execution. The ideal candidate is a well-organized creative operator with experience executing multi-channel creative production, managing vendors, and translating business needs into clear, actionable deliverables, ideally within a business-to-business, sales-driven organization. Familiarity with commercial real estate and financial services is a strong plus.

Location - New York, NY or Columbus, OH | Job Level - Senior Associate

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute hands-on creative development across all marketing materials, including presentations, sales collateral, social media assets, email marketing, websites, research reports, and event-related deliverables, ensuring high-quality, on-brand output.

  • Oversee and actively participate in day-to-day production and project management of creative assets.

  • Manage multiple concurrent design requests with a focus on balancing speed, accuracy, and high-quality execution.

  • Support the development and refinement of presentation materials, including executive-level decks and client-facing pitch books.

  • Review and refine creative deliverables, providing direct feedback and edits to ensure quality, accuracy, and overall effectiveness.

  • Maintain and enforce Lument brand standards across all materials, ensuring consistency of visual identity across channels and deliverables.

  • Manage relationships with external creative service vendors (e.g., design agencies, print partners, promotional/product vendors) overseeing scope, quality, timelines, and final deliverables.

  • Manage the creative budget for assigned projects, including tracking expenses and reviewing and approving vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and alignment with scope.

  • Act as a liaison across internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of creative initiatives and campaigns.

  • Develop and refine creative concepts and templates in partnership with brand leadership and external agencies, translating business needs into polished, executable designs.

  • Support the development of creative briefs and partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear strategic direction for design resources.

  • Serve as a central point of coordination for creative requests, ensuring clear scope, timelines, and stakeholder alignment across projects.

Contacts

This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role will interact with external vendors, creative partners, consultants, and service providers supporting marketing and communications initiatives.

Education, Skills & Experience

Required

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, marketing, visual communication, advertising, digital media, or a related field.

  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in creative operations, design, brand management, marketing, or a related role, preferably within financial services, real estate, or professional services.

  • Track record of developing and producing high-quality print, digital marketing, and sales support materials.

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and design production workflows.

  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end creative workflows, including intake, prioritization, production, and delivery.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Strong understanding of brand standards, creative development processes, and multi-channel marketing execution.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable creative direction.

  • Proven ability to manage budgets and resource allocations across multiple projects and initiatives.

  • Portfolio demonstrating strong design and production capabilities required.

Preferred

  • Demonstrated experience implementing or managing creative intake and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet or similar platforms).

  • Capability in video art direction and/or hands-on video editing to support marketing, event, or digital content production.

  • Experience with motion graphics or light animation for digital, social, or presentation use.

  • Working knowledge of content management systems (e.g., WordPress or similar platforms) and HTML email design or template editing.

  • Ability to create polished, on-brand charts and graphics from supplied data, including line, bar, and multi-axis visuals for presentations and reports.
