Job description

HelloFresh's Performance Innovation studio is scaling a cross-channel video engine built on a single core principle: one production, many platform-native cuts. Post-production is where that model wins or stalls.  This role is what makes it win. We're looking for a Video Editor who is AI-native by instinct, not just by familiarity: someone who reaches for GenAI tools (AI-assisted editing, voiceover, video generation) as naturally as a timeline. You will own end-to-end post-production for the paid social pipeline, drive the AI-integration layer across post, and operationalize the studio's global footage library so markets can localize independently. This is a high-output, high-craft role at the center of how the team scales.

You Will...

  • Own end-to-end post-production.  From ingest through multi-format delivery and versioning at the speed and volume the studio's model demands.
  • Operationalize the global footage library.  Cut, adapt, and localize central footage for each market.
  • Drive the AI-integration layer across post to push creative and efficiency boundaries.  Stay up to date with new Gen AI tools to share with the team.
  • Maintain GenAI policy compliance across EU and global markets, staying current on evolving regulations and ensuring all AI-generated assets meet platform and legal requirements.
  • Edit short-form video from scratch for paid social channels (TikTok, Meta, YouTube, Snap, OTT) using sharp creative instincts, platform-native best practices, and data from Creative Strategy.
  • Build motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, and end cards in After Effects; collaborate with design teams to communicate graphic needs clearly.
  • Manage multi-format, multi-market video workflow across delivery stages, partnering with the Senior Video Editor, Creative Strategy, and Production teams as needed.
  • Work proactively to bring edits to near-final state, minimizing feedback rounds and meeting or beating stakeholder deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Develop and adapt work from written and verbal feedback quickly and independently.
  • Quality-check all video content against brand guidelines and platform specs before delivery.

You Are...

  • An AI-native editor who treats GenAI tools as core craft, not a novelty.
  • A high-output editor who thrives on turning a single shoot into a volume of finished, platform-native assets.
  • Deeply fluent in the performance content / paid social landscape. You know how to prioritize what works based on data, not just personal taste.
  • An expert in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with apps like CapCut and other UGC content creator tools.  Eager to try new things as the UGC market and trends evolve.
  • Organized, self-starting, and reliable.  You manage complex multi-market, multi-format workflows without dropping anything.
  • A strong collaborator who can work across Creative, Creative Strategy, Production, and Brand teams and communicate clearly at all levels.
  • Calm under pressure, professional, and positive when deadlines compress.
  • Committed to on-brand quality at every stage of the editing process.

At a Minimum, You Have...

  • 5+ years of video editing experience in digital, paid media, or social content with a portfolio that proves output at volume and platform-native quality.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience using GenAI tools in a post-production workflow .
  • Familiarity with GenAI content policies and compliance requirements, particularly for EU/global markets, or the demonstrated ability to get up to speed rapidly.
  • Strong experience developing assets for Paid Social, particularly TikTok, Meta, YouTube, & Snap.
  • Expert proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Adobe Creative Suite; working knowledge of CapCut and UGC-first editing platforms.
  • Extensive knowledge of color grading, pacing, and timing for performance-oriented content.
  • Experience managing multi-format, multi-market asset workflows, conversion tactics, ideally including localization or global content adaptation.  Knowledge of creative advertising principles.
  • Experience working within tight deadlines, handling multiple projects simultaneously, and turning around same-day edits.
  • Impeccable organization, attention to detail, and a strong eye for quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site 4 days a week in NYC.
  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, or equivalent. Preferred but not required.

You'll Get...

  • Competitive Salary & 401k company match that vests immediately upon participation
  • Generous parental leave of 16 weeks & PTO policy
  • $0 monthly premium and other flexible health plans effective first day of employment
  • 85% discount on your subscription to HelloFresh (as well as other product initiatives)
  • Snacks, cold brew on tap & monthly catered lunches
  • Company sponsored outings & Employee Resource Groups
  • Collaborative, dynamic work environment within a fast-paced, mission-driven company
