Job description

Audio Advice is one of the fastest-growing audio and home technology companies in the U.S. For more than 40 years, we have helped customers create incredible home audio, home theater, and smart home experiences. Today, Audio Advice combines nationally recognized eCommerce, world-class showrooms, industry-leading educational content, and partnerships with many of the best brands in consumer electronics.

We are looking for a full-time Video Content Producer to join our marketing team in Raleigh, NC.

This is a hands-on creative production role for someone who loves cameras, lighting, editing, photography, storytelling, technology, and creating polished content that makes products and experiences look their best.

You will help own day-to-day video and photography production for Audio Advice, with YouTube at the center of what we create. You’ll produce everything from product reviews, how-to videos, and educational content to customer showcases, buying guides, and broader top-of-funnel videos, while also capturing social content, event coverage, and photography across our marketing channels.

A big part of succeeding in this role is learning the products and technology we cover. An existing background or passion for home audio, home theater, two-channel audio, vinyl, smart home technology, or consumer electronics is a major plus. If you do not already know the industry, we are looking for someone who is curious, takes initiative, and is excited to become knowledgeable about it.

The more you understand the products, systems, and technologies we cover, the better you will be able to tell their stories visually.

This is a hybrid position based in Raleigh, NC .

You should expect to work from our Raleigh showroom and production studio approximately 2 to 3 days per week for filming, photography, product preparation, studio organization, social content creation, and other hands-on production needs.

The specific in-office days may vary from week to week depending on the filming and production schedule.

The remainder of the week can generally be spent working remotely, with much of that time focused on editing, post-production, file organization, graphics, and other work that can be completed from your home workspace.

This is not a primarily remote production role. The right person will enjoy being hands-on in the studio, working with products, preparing for shoots, and taking ownership of the physical production process.

What You’ll Do
  • Own day-to-day video and photography production from pre-production through final delivery
  • Manage and maintain our Raleigh production studio, including cameras, lighting, audio, sets, equipment, and overall production organization
  • Film and edit YouTube content including product reviews, how-to and educational videos, buying guides, customer showcases, interviews, and other original content
  • Review scripts and production plans, then independently identify and capture the B-roll, product details, demonstrations, beauty shots, and supporting visuals needed to tell the story
  • Take ownership of products used in production, including picking them up locally, safely unboxing and setting them up, preparing them for camera, and properly repacking and returning them
  • Work comfortably with premium, high-value, and sometimes large or heavy audio, video, and home technology products
  • Create short-form content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social channels, while looking for additional content opportunities during every shoot
  • Capture and edit product, lifestyle, showroom, customer, and event photography for use across our website and marketing channels
  • Work with subject matter experts and on-camera talent to plan shoots and translate complex home audio, home theater, and technology topics into compelling visual content
  • Maintain organized project files, footage, photography, equipment, products, and studio spaces
  • Travel occasionally for customer projects, events, trade shows, manufacturer visits, and other productions
  • Continuously improve your knowledge of our products, production techniques, creative tools, and the audio/video industry
What We’re Looking For
  • Professional experience in video production, videography, content creation, or a similar creative role
  • Strong shooting and editing skills, with a solid understanding of cameras, lighting, audio, composition, and visual storytelling
  • Photography experience, including product, lifestyle, or marketing photography
  • Ability to take a project from an idea or script through filming, editing, and final delivery
  • Strong creative instincts and the ability to independently identify the B-roll, shots, and supporting visuals needed for a production
  • Comfortable taking initiative, solving problems, managing multiple projects, and working without constant direction
  • Organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-moving production environment
  • Willing to learn our products, industry, and technology deeply enough to make better creative decisions
We’d Love to See

These are not required, but they can help you stand out:

  • A passion for or knowledge of home audio, home theater, two-channel audio, vinyl, smart home technology, or consumer electronics
  • Experience creating content for YouTube, including long-form and short-form video
  • Motion graphics, animation, or After Effects experience
  • Experience with product photography, eCommerce, or premium/luxury brands
  • Experience working with technical products or explaining complex topics visually
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted production and post-production tools
Position Characteristics
  • Creative and visually driven
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Takes initiative
  • Comfortable working hands-on
  • Highly organized
  • Detail-oriented
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Passionate about improving your craft
  • Able to take ownership of projects
