Job Summary
The WGLT Student Visual Journalist works with the Newsroom to create visual content for use on WGLT.org, the station's social media, and other promotional materials. The Student Visual Journalist works under the supervision of the WGLT Content Director and News Director or designee. The position is assigned photo or video work, then is responsible for shooting, editing and distribution of that work while under supervision.
WGLT is Bloomington-Normal's Public Media and part of the NPR Network, serving a mix of users who listen, read and watch. WGLT is based at Illinois State University and, through a partnership with Bradley University, also operates WCBU in Peoria. WGLT is a member of the Institute for Nonprofit News.

Pay Rate
$16/hour
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with video production, video editing, and Adobe Premiere and Photoshop preferred. Comparable experience may be acceptable based on qualifications.
Work Hours
8-10 hours per week.
