Social Media Marketing Generalist

SECURED INVESTMENT CORP

Coeur D Alene, ID

Full-time

Posted 20 days ago

Job description

Description

We're looking for a creative, social-media-obsessed generalist who studies what works online and turns it into content people actually want to watch. You don't need years of experience - you need to be a serious student of social media: watching trends, noticing which hooks stop the scroll, and asking "how do we adapt this for our brand?" One day you're editing a Reel; the next you're pulling five great clips from a webinar.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Create scroll-stopping content: turn videos, webinars, and ideas into Reels, Shorts, TikToks, carousels, and graphics - with hooks and captions that get attention.
  • Study what works: track trends, creators, and competitors, and bring fresh, adapted ideas to the team.
  • Keep content moving: build and manage content calendars, schedule posts, and keep drafts and approvals organized.
  • Join the conversation: monitor comments and DMs, respond in a friendly voice, and flag anything sensitive to the right person.
  • Track and improve: monitor performance (views, engagement, growth, leads) and use the data to make the next post better.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Genuine interest in social media, content creation, and digital marketing - plus a habit of studying what actually works online.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, and basic short-form video editing experience.
  • Content experience of some kind - your own accounts, a business, a school org, a client, or a personal brand all count.
  • Working knowledge of Canva or similar tools, and comfort picking up new platforms and software.
  • Good organization, attention to detail, and the ability to take feedback and adjust quickly.
  • HubSpot experience strongly desired.

No marketing degree, huge follower count, or agency experience required. What matters most: you pay attention, learn fast, create consistently, and improve.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Descript, Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar tools.
  • Experience working with educators, speakers, coaches, or personal brands.
  • Interest in real estate, investing, financial education, or entrepreneurship.
  • A portfolio of posts, videos, or accounts you've helped grow.

What Success Looks Like

  • Content publishes consistently and on time, and our channels feel current and active.
  • Strong trends and formats get adapted quickly; long-form becomes useful short-form.
  • Posts sound like us, not generic marketing copy - and engagement, reach, and leads grow over time.
