We are seeking a Social Video Producer to join our Broadcast team in Boone, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Social Video Producer, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Lead video productions from concept through completion, including creative development, writing, directing, filming, and editing, with an emphasis on compelling storytelling optimized for social media platforms.
  • Produce video content featuring ministry activities worldwide, as well as field and studio productions, coordinating creative direction, logistics, scheduling, travel, and resources with Broadcast Department leadership and production participants.
  • Develop accurate and effective public messaging by researching and understanding Samaritan's Purse's mission, language, and priorities, and collaborating with ministry departments to ensure content is timely, relevant, and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct interviews and coordinate professionally with ministry leaders, executive staff, the Graham family, ministry partners, volunteers, and aid recipients, demonstrating appropriate sensitivity when working with individuals experiencing pain, loss, or trauma.
  • Maintain current knowledge and proficiency in professional video production techniques, including camera, lighting, audio, editing, and graphic design, and apply emerging creative approaches to effectively engage key ministry audiences.
  • Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Portfolio Required: Please include a portfolio with your application. We'd love to see examples of your work, including social media content, reels, video projects, or creative concepts that demonstrate your storytelling ability and effectiveness in engaging audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in film or video production or a related field and five (5) or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of high-quality video storytelling and professional broadcast production techniques, including interviewing, directing crews, communicating creative vision, lighting, camera operation, and field audio recording.
  • Proficiency in non-linear video editing and story assembly using industry-standard editing software, such as Avid Media Composer or similar systems.
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
