Job description

The Daily Wire is looking for a Video Editor to join our team! Our Video Editors work on a variety of content including daily podcasts, long-form interviews, YouTube videos, as well as shows like Ben Shapiro's Debunked and documentaries from Jordan Peterson, with a host of other DailyWire+ content.
 
This position will take raw video footage from various production projects and use his or her editing skills, creative intuition, and application of company's editing standards to fulfill the creative vision of the Director of Post-Production and other leaders of the Production department. Behind every piece of original Daily Wire video content is a talented member of our team of Video Editors. **This role is based in our Washington, D.C. office**
Responsibilities
  • Edit Daily Wire daily podcasts, shows, Host Original content, and other long- and short-form promotional videos.
  • Transform raw footage into compelling, polished content through creative editing and effective storytelling.
  • Create precise assembly edits, string-outs, and final finishing edits across various digital-video formats.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Post-Production to review projects and implement creative feedback.
  • Develop and maintain project templates to support consistent and efficient workflows.
  • Convert, transcode, and compress media to meet post-production and delivery requirements.
  • Organize and archive footage, project files, and final deliverables while completing required daily project logs.
  • Deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget while communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.
Experience & Requirements
  • 2+ years of professional video editing experience, including social media, assembly, and editorial work.
  • Working knowledge of video production and post-production workflows.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
  • Strong knowledge of digital media formats, codecs, image types, resolutions, and frame rates.
  • Experience with After Effects, motion graphics, audio mixing, and color correction is preferred.
  • Strong visual sensibility with an excellent understanding of pacing and storytelling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to receive, interpret, and implement feedback from management.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and the ability to learn new tools and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, dependability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
