About TikTok Tako TikTok Tako is TikTok official AI assistant, exploring new ways for people to discover, interact with, and create through AI. We are looking for a US-based Social Content Intern who understands TikTok culture, short-form video, and Gen Z internet behavior to help build and grow the official TikTok Tako. As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early. Responsibilities - Support content planning, brainstorming, and editorial calendar management for TikTok Tako's official social channels - Track US TikTok trends, AI product conversations, Gen Z culture, memes, and creator economy moments - Write short-form video scripts, hooks, captions, post copy, and comment/reply ideas - Help create, edit, or coordinate video content for the official account - Analyze content performance, including views, retention, engagement, follower growth, and audience feedback - Research relevant brand accounts, AI product accounts, creator accounts, and social content formats - Help shape a voice for Tako that feels useful, playful, natural, and trustworthy
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline - Currently based in the United States, with a strong understanding of US internet and TikTok culture, and strong sense of trends, memes, creator culture, and Gen Z communication styles - Passionate about AI products, consumer technology, social media, and digital culture; experience creating or managing content on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms - Familiar with AI content creation tools, including AI image generation, AI video generation, and AI-assisted copywriting/scriptwriting tools, and able to apply them to social content production - Proficiency in English and Mandarin, with strong English writing skills, especially for short-form, native-feeling social copy;fluency in written and spoken Mandarin is needed to manage stakeholders in China market - Comfortable using performance data to review, learn, and improve content - Proactive, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a remote team environment Preferred Qualifications: - Experience growing a personal TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube account - Previous internship or project experience in social media, campus media, creator agencies, startups, or tech companies - Basic video editing skills with tools such as CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, Canva, or similar - Hands-on experience using tools such as Midjourney, Runway, Pika, Kling, Sora, CapCut AI, Canva AI, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar AI creative tools

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $25- $25.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
