Job Type: Part-Time Fall Semester Internship (College Credit Eligible)

Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Video Production Intern for the current semester to directly assist in recording and producing an upcoming unscripted/reality show episode. Unlike traditional administrative film internships, this role focuses entirely on the technical pipeline of creators: you will split your time evenly between on-set camera/audio recording and post-production video editing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Recording: Assist with multi-camera setups, operate secondary B-roll cameras, and manage field audio equipment (lavalier and boom microphones) during reality style shoots. [1]
  • On-Set Media Management: Handle data Wrangling, offload memory cards safely, and organize raw production footage files.
  • Video Editing: Build initial rough cuts, create assembly string-outs, and organize multi-cam timelines within the editing software workflow.
  • Post-Production Support: Assist with dialogue cleanup, basic sound placement, and exporting final episode deliverables for review. [1]

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a college/university film, television, or media production program.
  • Foundational experience operating DSLR or mirrorless cinema cameras (Sony, Canon, or Blackmagic).
  • Proficient technical knowledge of non-linear editing software, preferably Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Ability to work independently on tight deadlines and manage large file structures.

General Information:

This application is intended for current university students and recent graduates. Please only submit this application once per cycle. Academic Credit is available as a form of compensation.

  • Gain real-world experience in multi-camera setups, field audio recording, and non-linear editing.
  • Network with entertainment industry professionals.
  • This internship acts as an extension of the classroom by providing real-life application to media production, digital storytelling, and post-production concepts.

Benefits of Taking On The Position:

  • Learn the production side of reality entertainment and how it integrates with a top talent agency.
  • Resources, facilities, and equipment provided for editing and production needs.
  • Work closely with agents and producers having experience with over 100 productions and over 10 years in the entertainment industry.
  • Network & Festival Exposure: Collaborate directly on producing a high-quality episode packaged to pitch to major networks and submit to film festivals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Field Recording: Operate your own camera and manage field audio equipment (lavalier and boom microphones) during reality-style shoots.
  • Video Editing: Build rough cuts, assembly string-outs, and organize multi-cam timelines to edit the reality show episode.
  • Media Management: Handle data wrangling, securely offload memory cards, and organize raw media assets.
  • Production Support: Assist with dialogue cleanup, basic sound placement, and exporting final episode deliverables for executive review.
  • Content Delivery: Format and package digital video files for client submissions and network casting pitches.

Equipment Requirements:
