Job type: full-time employment.

Location: Calgary office (500, 1324 - 17 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2T 5S8) OR Edmonton office (290, 8155 - 105 St. NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 3R7), full-time in person.

Position Overview: As an experienced Content Lead, you play a pivotal role in drafting content strategies, creating content calendars, blogs, newsletters, and posts for a variety of platforms. You're comfortable working closely with our clients, internal teams, and other stakeholders to drive brand visibility, engagement, and conversions through owned channels. You bring ideas to the table, providing best-in-class recommendations, you live and breathe digital acumen, and you're up to date with best practices.

A note on tools: These are some important tools we use at ZGM. While you don't need to know them all, we'd like you to check a big chunk off your list and be willing to learn the new ones. If you are familiar with cooler tools, we're all ears, and open to trying new things.

Design: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite

Social Media Management: SproutSocial or similar (Hootsuite, Loomly, Buffer, etc.)

Email marketing & CMS: MailChimp, HubSpot, WordPress, Webflow. Less frequently we may use client's preferred platforms including Constant Contact, Klaviyo, Wordfly, Cyberimpact, Flodesk etc.)

Reporting and Analytics: Google Analytics, SEMRush, TapClicks

Video editing: Adobe Premier Pro (desktop)

Project Management: Asana or similar


Requirements: You'll need these to be considered for this position...

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a content producer/strategist or a similar role, preferably in an agency environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to clients and internal teams.

Solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and pull actionable insights.

Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Passion for staying abreast of industry trends and emerging media platforms.


Responsibilities

Developing and implementing content strategies

Research and analysis of audiences, industries

Monitoring content performance metrics/KPIs/social listening and reporting

Managing content calendars across multiple clients, and community management

Collaborating across teams to deliver a variety of content outputs

Presenting strategies to clients

Providing mentorship related to the requirements above for a junior content producer

Copywriting:

Write engaging, high-quality content for various platforms. Primarily this will be lifestyle content for blogs and email newsletters, along with social media captions. You'll also be required to schedule and deploy these pieces.

Assist in developing & implementing keyword strategies for written assets. Use SEO and GEO best practices and CRO principles when writing content.

CRM / Marketing Automation:

Understand CRM best practices and implementations.

Create behavioural workflows and set up email automations that complement the users' journey map.

Video Editing:

Proficient with editing video for short for content and developing shot lists for video and photoshoots.

Design:

Whether it's developing newsletter templates or social media graphics, we'll want you to be design savvy & not afraid to take fun and creative risks.

Planned Development:

With the support of your lead, implement content strategies aligned with business goals.

Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of content and adjust strategies as needed. Leverage those KPIs to prepare reports to communicate insights and progress to stakeholders.
