Job Description:
Audacy Kansas City is looking for a Part Time Producer/Board Operator for 96.5 The Fan. This position will fill in on nighttime shows, main dayparts and specialized programming throughout the year. Other duties will include on-air responsibilities, social media & sales.
This is a pipeline posting. We are always on the lookout for Producers/Board Operators to join our dynamic team. While we may not have an immediate opening, we are continuously building a pipeline of talented individuals who are interested in becoming a part of our organization when opportunities arise. Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
  • Run the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to program and commercial logs
  • Follow all applicable laws and FCC regulations.
  • Scheduling guests and live interviews.
  • Researching broadcast topics.
  • Assisting in the development of on-air promotions.
  • Providing creative input on broadcast elements.
  • Contributing to social networking and website updates.
  • May be required to perform light production work
  • Other duties as required by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and/or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Position requires ability to manipulate knobs, levers and push buttons.

Qualifications
Required & Preferred:
  • Minimum of 2+ years producing radio show.
  • Must be computer literate; requires creative approach and ability to prioritize.
  • Knowledge of the broadcast area and station demographics is essential; 4 year degree preferred.
