This is NOT a Computer Software Engineer position


Annual Salary: $85,000+ (DOE)

Plant/Work Location: 200 Wallins Corner Road, Amsterdam, NY 12010

Market/Value Stream: Generator

Training: 3-6 months 

Travel: 25-50%

Candidate must have US citizenship or active Green Card

We are currently seeking an Product Applications Engineer - Generator to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters located in St. Louis, MO.


Job Summary

The Product Applications Engineer provides technical expertise for generator market applications, supports customers with engineered solutions, and bridges customer needs with product development initiatives.


Job Duties

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for customer applications with an ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders in how our products and services can satisfy customer requirements.
  • Support new product development projects from research, through planning and implementation.
  • Develop marketing content (data sheets, white papers, technical bulletins, advertising materials, technical video, webinar, application engineering profile, etc.) to promote our technical expertise.
Requirements:
  •   Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
  • 1-3 years of engineering, applications engineering, product engineering, or technical sales experience; strong technical aptitude and drive.
  • Ability to understand customer’s application requirements and translate that into understanding internal capability development.
  • Position is subject to meeting ITAR requirements.

Preferred

  • Electrical, plastics, composites, or elastomeric materials experience
  • Experience supporting industrial, power generation, or OEM markets
  • Customer-facing technical experience
  • CRM experience preferred
