We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Mitigation Technician to join our restoration team in Austin. The ideal candidate will assist in responding to water and storm damage emergencies. This role involves using specialized equipment and techniques to mitigate damage, protect property, and prepare for the restoration process.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for water, fire, or mold damage.
- Assess damage and determine appropriate mitigation procedures.
- Set up and monitor drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers.
- Perform demolition, removal of affected materials (drywall, flooring, insulation, etc.), and site cleanup.
- Document job progress using photos, notes, and moisture readings.
- Utilize Xactimate software to write accurate mitigation estimates.
- Follow all safety and industry standards, including IICRC guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and readiness of mitigation supplies and equipment.
- Must have a clean background check.
- IICRC certifications required: Water Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD).
