Job description

General Job Description:Under direction of the Vice-President of Finance, the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will work closely with Department Heads to establish expectations for budget and forecast purposes and to identify variances from budget and forecast projections. The Director of FP&A will oversee and manage the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan and modeling tools for the organization & its subsidiaries.

  • Ability to develop and a strategize a five (5) year plan at a corporate level for a $1B company
  • Ability to Lead annual budgeting process and quarterly forecast process
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan and modeling tools
  • Develop quarterly and monthly financial reporting to senior management, investors and other key stakeholders
  • Improve financial performance by evaluating processes & developing tools to help drive efficiencies and understand ROI in various projects and departments
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Supporting Senior Management Team and Department Heads with in-depth analysis
  • Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team
  • Ad-hoc reporting, general forecasting and analysis
  • Provide key stakeholders with Business intelligence & analytics decision support
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor and/or ACCO management.

Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities):

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Statistics, or related field required.
  • 5+ years’ experience interacting with executive leadership (e.g., Vice President Level and above) required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in capital project/business case analysis and monitoring, to include, but not limited to analyzing and reporting costs, cash flows, risks, opportunities and tracking financial benefits required.
  • 6+ years’ experience managing capital and operational budgets required.
  • 8+ years management & leadership experience required.

Additional Skills/Abilities Preferred, but Not Required:

  • 3+ years Real estate/General Contractor financial experience preferred.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Construction Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Construction experience preferred.
  • Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics, Point analytics and other business intelligence soft wares preferred
  • 7+ years FPA experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a senior construction finance role, handlinglarge scale construction project budgets and forecasts, to include contracting types and methods

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Competitive Wage:

$178,000 to $210,000 annually. Applicants, please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
